Why tell Evelyne’s story now?
From Ash We Rise is the modern home of the Lady Evelyne Harper tradition: gathering the chronicle, the images, the words attributed to her and the ways those words still speak to ordinary life.
The purpose is not to turn Evelyne into something polished and untouchable. It is to keep the rough edges: the temper, the mistakes, the grief, the laughter, the stubbornness and the repeated act of getting back up.
JPD is the writer and creative voice assembling that material into the book and the wider From Ash We Rise project.
